Book Club
Parents donate money to buy a book for the media center in honor of their child’s birthday. A label is placed in the front cover to identify the donor. Create master list to be posted on BBC bulletin board in Media Center. Print and apply labels to new book list from Jean Gillette. Submit once a month announcement of new names to website. Book Fair A unique opportunity to preview and buy children’s books from the latest authors. This one- week event also features a Wednesday family night. A percentage of your purchases help fund your child’s PTA. Set-up “store” in multi-purpose room, manage sales, and track money raised. Sue Kauffman February
Box Tops FREE MONEY!!! LCH families and friends are encouraged to clip and turn in the Box Tops for Education on General Mills, Betty Crocker and other participating companies. Promote the program, encourage LCH families to save, collect and bag for twice a year submissions. Sharon Pennington ongoing
Buick Invitational Buy tickets to the best golf tournament in town—all to raise money for LCH PTA programs! Sell tickets for the Buick Invitational. Jill McKee??? Spring
VONS eScrip & Albertson’s Community Partners FREE MONEY!!! Register your VONS Club Saving Card and Albertson’s Preferred Savings Card. These grocery stores donate a percentage of total purchases from registered cards to our school. What do you have to do? Friends and family can participate too! Promote the program and encourage families and extended family members to sign up their grocery store club card though the two participating grocers. Christy Clough ongoing
Fall Festival A fun-filled Saturday afternoon including games, crafts, silent auctions, food, and DJ entertainment. Coordinate set-up and plan games, crafts, auction, concessions and ticket sales. Advertise the event. Cat Bailey Oct. 10
Gift Wrap Sales LCH’s annual gift wrap sale, featuring SALLY FOSTER gift wrap, Gift Wrap sales is one of our largest fundraisers! Online sales available!

Coordinate sales efforts, promote fundraiser, address questions and distribute materials to students. Gina Armbrust September
Jog-A-Thon A school-wide day of fitness and fun designed to inspire our children to live active, healthy lives. Proceeds from this event support our YMCA Playground Partners. Plan and set-up event, coordinate guest joggers to participate (military, firefighters, etc), and distribute and collect pledge envelopes. Typically held the last Friday before spring break. Media Center Vending Machines Pencils and pens are available for purchase through mini vending machines in the Media Center. This machine is maintained and supplied by our librarian and the profits go toward the purchase of new books for the Media Center. Jean Gillette ongoing
Spirit Wear Customized La Costa Heights sweatshirts, t-shirts, hats, etc show school spirit! Manage sales and distribute merchandise; work with vendor to design future products, and maintain stock. Sell attire at school events. Shannon Morgan ongoing
Strawberry Sales During Strawberry season, generally the first week after Spring break, volunteers sell delicious strawberries every Wednesday after school. 50% goes back to our school! Tiles for Technology LCH families have the opportunity to buy ceramic tiles and decorate them; the tiles are later hung on the outer walls of the school. All money raised from this supports technology at LCH. Set-up event with pottery supplier, coordinate installation with principal following event. Tami Riedman Oct. 10 (during Fall Festival)
